The presentation focused on palm oil and its gaining acceptance as a highly function, cost-effective ingredient in many food products. Previously believed to be heart unhealthy due to the presence of saturate fats, new scientific data suggest that saturates are not as bad as once believed. His presentation has shown how palm oil is the most versatile zero-trans edible oil available to the food industry today, and why it has a role to play as part of a healthy diet.
