A strategic partnership between two companies can sometimes add up to more than the sum of the parts. Such was the case in 2002 when one of the world’s largest and most experienced palm oil companies, the IOI Group, acquired Loders Croklaan, a leading producer of oils and fats for the food industry. 

Our partnership has consolidated almost all the expertise, volume and facilities necessary to manage the palm oil chain from beginning to end, including research centers, extensive plantations and the necessary logistical network. We’re now forging the last necessary link in this chain with the construction of Europe’s largest palm oil refinery and fractionation plant in the port of Rotterdam. Together with IOI, Loders Croklaan is able to provide customers with one of the few – and arguably the largest – integrated palm oil supply chains in the world, along with all of the associated benefits.
